Harvest Event
It's hard to believe that harvest time is almost upon us already. Our 2nd annual harvest event is Sept 21st and Sept 28th from 2-7 pm at the farm. Join us for some family friendly fun where you can: Learn about hemp cultivation and processing. See the plants in the field, with the opportunity to take home fresh flowers. Socialize with hemp enthusiasts, we'll have a great playlist and some concessions available if you want to vibe with us for the day. Support local Artists and Vendors! Tarot reading, jewelry and crystals, artwork and craft items, and some hemp inspired jewelry will be available.
Spread Too Thin
Do you know the song "Spread Too Thin" by Dirty Heads? That has been me "rushing around" this year: Advocating against upcoming state legislation that will threaten small hemp businesses (and put many out of business myself included). Attending farmer's markets 2-3 times a week. Processing products and attempting to maintain inventory. Field/plant care. Short updates to social media to appease the algorithm. Managing my husband's VA claims and attending appointments. Helping to deal with my late father-in-laws estate. The neverending house tasks and keeping the teens from slacking on their schooling. Moderating duties for the The Cannabis Community. My body also doesn't let me forget that I am disabled which includes involuntary "rest" days.
With all of the things we currently have to manage it is not a surprise that we can't do everything. Thank you for supporting us in spite of me slacking on blog updates, optimizing the website, and my inability to keep some items in stock while I'm busy with field work. I'm looking forward to harvest when the workload will begin winding down allowing us to catch up on all of the things; where I can just "breathe, and [...] chill for a while."
